Graduating class of 2019: how do you create impact with your professional career?
Venture for Canada, a national non-profit connecting entrepreneurial grads to growing startups, is helping launch impactful careers in a big way.
The organization’s flagship Fellowship Program is a career accelerator that connects young leaders to Canada’s startup ecosystem.
The Process
Caution ahead: it’s not going to be a walk in the park. Just like startup life, Venture for Canada’s rigorous selection process ensures that you’re fully prepared for the hustle. You may find yourself pitching to a panel of judges, or giving authentic answers on why you embody the organization’s core values.
What you studied in school comes secondary to your hustle— successful past applicants have come from STEM, Business, Arts, and more. Also good to know: students are eligible to apply for up to two years after their graduation date.
The Perks
Then, it’s onto the real hustle, as applicants start interviewing for exclusive positions at Venture for Canada’s partner startups. The ultimate goal? A two-year, full-time J.O.B. that matters, based out of British Columbia, Ontario, or Atlantic Canada.
Not to worry — Venture for Canada’s got your back for the entire two years of your new startup role. Fellowship participants gain access to a growing network of alumni, mentors, and program participants.
Experiential training sessions continue on after you start working, ensuring that you’re kept up-to-date with the latest professional skills and learning opportunities.
