Nominations are open for the inaugural North American 2018 Arab Women of Excellence Awards until April 15, 2018.

Nominations are open for the inaugural North American 2018 Arab Women of Excellence Awards until April 15, 2018.
“I would like to encourage you to nominate, honour, recognize and celebrate the achievements of a woman/girl of excellence that you know who is of Arab descent,” says Dahlia Mostafa, the organizer of the awards.
Egyptian-born Mostafa, president of the Canadian Life Transformation Academy in Calgary, an educational academy and social enterprise, is herself an award winner of 41 international awards from Canada, Europe and Egypt, including as an RBC Top 25 Canadian Immigrant of 2017.
Her purpose behind creating this awards programs focused on Arab women is to celebrate their achievements in North America and focus on their strengths, potential and areas of success.
“Not only will this award inspire all Arab women across the world as well as our young girls, but it will also send a strong international message about the abilities and capabilities of Arab women,” Mostafa says.
There are 12 categories for the award, including: Art and Media, Academia, Business and Entrepreneurs, Community Service, Industry, Inspiration, Motherhood, Politics and Government, Research, Special Needs and Gifted, Sports, and Youth Achievements and Talents.
Winners of the awards will be honoured at red carpet events in Montreal and Calgary in fall 2018.
