The issues that women from immigrant and multicultural communities face are unique, and experts in the settlement field agree that immigrant women need additional information, inspiration and support. That’s why Canadian Immigrant magazine is organizing a conference and fair specifically focused on them, following International Women’s Day. The inaugural Multicultural Women’s Conference and Fair will be held in Vancouver, on March 31, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive, Vancouver, B.C.).

Similar to our successful Career, Education & Settlement Fairs, this event will include a diverse tradeshow of exhibitors, as well as motivational speakers and interactive activities. With the theme of “Empowering Immigrant Women to Succeed in Canada,” this fair will focus on all aspects of life in Canada for multicultural women, in areas from careers, to self-employment, to health, to parenting. This event offers women from all ethnic backgrounds, whether they have just landed or been in Canada for years, an opportunity to learn, access services, be inspired and make new connections with like-minded women.

We are currently looking for sponsors, speakers and tradeshow exhibitors. For more information on opportunities to get involved, please contact Alla Gordeeva at 778-558-3397 or email alla@canadianimmigrant.ca.
