Immigration is a significant economic driver in B.C. As of Census 2016, 28.3% of British Columbia’s population was born outside Canada. In Metro Vancouver, however, several communities are reaching 30, 40, 50, and for the City of Richmond, 60 percent foreign born.
But, many of us don’t live and work in the same community. Review these immigrant numbers and statistics to see how immigrants are shaping other communities and where else your workers, colleagues and customers might be coming from.
